FAQ’s
Yes, parking is available in The Chimes Shopping centre car park where we are situated (on Upper Mall)
The play equipment is suitable for ages 0 to approx. 9/10 years. With a height restriction of 148cm.
No, you just pay for the child going on the frame. We have made space available if you do need to go on and assist your child.
Socks are compulsory to maintain our high levels of hygiene and protect children’s feet. Adults going on the frame MUST also wear socks.
If you’ve forgotten your socks you are welcome to purchase some from the front desk for £1. Children must wear long sleeved tops and trousers to use the drop slide. Shoes are not permitted while playing on the play features.
We advise all bookings to be made online as we have a restricted capacity and must know numbers before the session starts.
Sessions are an hour long, with a half an hour clean in between each session
SEN sessions are due to start this summer, please enquire with our team on the date and time.
Cancellations can be made with 48 hours notice via email ([email protected]) this is to change your booking for another date as no refunds can be made, as per our terms and conditions – your payment is a donation to our charity HALO. Apologies we cannot make any special arrangements for sickness and unforeseen circumstances.
Unfortunately not, your child/ren cannot be left alone under any circumstances, as they are your responsibility at all times.
Yes, if you speak to a member of staff we can cater for your needs.
No sorry we don’t have a baby change nor toilets on site, although they are available in The Chimes Shopping centre on the same level just across the Mall from our café
Yes, we have a specially designed Baby & Toddler area for 0-3 year olds, no big kids can go in there.
Food and drink, as is the case with most cafés/restaurants, cannot be brought into the HALO play café. We monitor Allergens in the foods we have on site and have very strict rules to follow so you are NOT permitted to eat outside food in the café. Thank you for your cooperation.
We understand that families like to capture special moments of their children so we do allow you to do this, however, you may only take photos or videos of your own children. Please be mindful of others around you, as not everyone likes this.
We are sorry you feel you may wish to complain. We take abuse very seriously. We will not tolerate any form of verbal, physical or psychological abuse by customers. Abusers and those going against our rules may be asked to leave, banned from HALO Play café and may even be reported to the Police. If you have a complaint about our staff/volunteers or HALO play café facility please email the Manager at [email protected]
Yes, we will do birthday parties from the 19th July, when retsrictions lift. Prices start from £180 for up to 16 children, please email us for more details at [email protected]

Yes, parents must have read the Rules of HALO Play Café online and at Reception before their children can play. These are also displayed in our café.
Parents must ensure their children play in a friendly manner. Children found to be upsetting other children may be asked to leave the play equipment.
All proceeds from the HALO play café go to Halo Children’s Foundation to support children and their families with bereavement, Charity Registration Number: 1166863.
